Speaker: Dr. Aneek Chatterjee

The department conducted an Extension lecture by Dr. Aneek Chatterjee for all the students in the continuing Semester. The Extension lectures were related to their curriculum- "Ukraine and Russia Conflict"- related to Paper- CC7 of Semester 3 Honours and Paper- CC9 of Semester 4 Honours.

Aneek Chatterjee is a senior academic and analyst on international relations. Dr. Chatterjee served as Professor and Head of Political Science at Presidency University, Kolkata. He was a Fulbright Visting Professor at the University of Virginia,  USA and a recipient of the prestigious ICCR Chair to teach in foreign universities. He is currently teaching at the Post Graduate  Department of Political Science, Hooghly Mohsin College. Dr. Chatterjee authored and edited 14 books and published nearly one hundred  research papers in leading journals and edited volumes. He delivered more than 150 academic lectures in 16 countries. He sits in the Editorial Board of three international academic journals.

 

 

 

 

The Department organized an Extension Lecture by a renowned person to raise the level of understanding of the students about any issue or topic related to their syllabus.

 

 

 

 

• More than 70 students participated in the Seminar. The students were able to have a clear understanding of Russia- Ukraine War and the students were also interacting and asked questions to the resource person to make a clear idea about the war. This helped them not only with new information, but also widens their understanding of the subject. The students were quite happy to meet Anik Chatterjee- the man whose book acts as a textbook for their syllabus.
